One of the reasons I got Carrara was so that I could create my own character faces. However, I had a difficult time finding good tutorials on how to do this using Carrara. This is a simple beginners tutorial on how to model heads and faces using Carrara.
Poser, Daz Studio, Carrara – Which One Should I Use?
For rendering 3D-pictures and figures we can use Poser, Daz Studio, or Carrara. Poser is the oldest and most mature. However, Daz Studio has many features and new add-ons that are not available on Poser. In addition, it is free. Carrara has some great environment effects and some cool tools such as vertex editing. We consider which one to use for our computer generated pictures.
Add Poser or Daz Studio Runtimes into Carrara
We consider how to add our Poser and Daz Studio Runtime directories into Carrara. This will allow us to access the same models on Carrara as on Poser and Daz Studio.
