It is difficult to say without looking at the scene file. If I remember correctly though, that scene has a skydome in it, so you want to turn that off. Older scenes may have a skydome object, which would block light from the EnvMap/Iray Sunlight.]]></description>

That is a good question, and yes I do turn it off. I want my sunlight layer to only contain light from the sun. Sometimes, I may render that spotlight into another separate layer and then combine that in Photoshop. This gives me greater flexibility in combining different light strengths. ]]></description>
