In reply to <a href="https://thinkdrawart.com/how-to-set-up-camera-lights-displacement-in-daz-studio-octane/comment-page-1#comment-265308">Sparkie</a>.

In my case I turned up the intensity of the spherical light. In Octane:

(1) Select the Sphere-Default on the Materials tab.
(2) Open the Nodegraph Editor.
(3) Select the Blackbody node and increase the power.

Depending on how far the sphere is from your model, you'll have to amp up the power accordingly until the skin color turns lighter. In my case, from the default 100, I brought the value up to 5000.

Hope this helps. Cheers!

Hi .. so I've tried following this tutorial .. and for sure I've made a skin that has some nice SSS ... BUUUUUUUT .. He's come out looking like he's black? And no offense to being Black but he's meant to be a white boy. Why does the skin have to be so dark .. I have tried to manipulate all sorts of nodes in order to make the skin lighter only to have him look slightly greyer.

Can you help? Because this issue is not (or I can't find it anyways) addressed in this or the follow up topics.
